R.D. National College has always encouraged the youth and
their talent with the college motto as “Play the Game “. Nationals
celebrates an Annual College festival called the Blow-fest. The festival
helps in showcasing hidden talent. These extra- curricular activities provide
a platform for students to excel in events that have become a part of their
college life. Mingling with students of all age groups creates a cordial
relationship and encourages team spirit among them. The festival is held
during the month of December, it is an intra-college festival consisting
of 5 houses based on the 5 elements of nature namely Aakash, Jal, Agni,
Vayu and Prithvi and of which compete for their Blow-fest cup. The central
theme for this years Blow-fest was ‘Wisteria’ which means Flying
higher. The enthusiasm of the fest runs throughout the year and its preparations
start in the month of October itself. It consisted of Fruit carving, Flower
arrangement, Debate Junior and Degree College and Quiz Competitions held
during the month of August. Vayu house secured the first place in fruit
carving and Junior Debate competitions respectively. The main festival was
held between 17th – 24th of December. It consists of Ad-Mad, Rangoli,
Radio-Play, Antakshari, Hindi Play and Dance Competitions in which Aakash
house secured the first place in the Rangoli and Radio-Play competitions
following Vayu house secured the first place in the Antakshari and Dance
competition. Agni house won the Ad-mad competition.
Along with the festival the students of the college also celebrated Traditional
Day, Hip-Hop Day, Red Day, Formal Day and Stripes and Dots Day. A Prom Night
was held in the college premises on the 22nd evening. The final Blow-fest
cup went to Aakash House secured the first place, followed by Prithvi House
who secured the second place; Jal House secured the third place, Vayu House
the fourth place and Agni House the last position. The entire event was
handled by Prof. Anju Kapoor and Prof. Nisha Nigam and their pillars were
the members of the Students Council, Neha Jain, Robby Thomas, Neha Sayed,
Alisha Lalljee, Priyanka Singh and Kedar Kulkarni.

A REPORT ON THE BLOW-FEST 2007
Blow-fest, the festival of R.D. National College was held from the 17th
– 24th of December 2007. The main theme of the festival was ‘Wisteria’
which means ‘Flying Higher’. The various events included in
this festival were.
1. Fruit Carving
2. Flower Arrangement
3. Debate Senior College
4. Debate Junior College
5. Quiz
6. Ad-Mad
7. Rangoli
8. Radio-Play
9. Antakshari
10. Play
11. Dance
The events of Fruit carving, Flower Arrangement, Debate Senior College,
Debate junior college and Quiz comprised the first half of the Blow-fest
while the rest comprised the second half.
As this was an Intra-house festival the competition was thick between
the 5 houses of the college. The winners of the event were:

After a thorough evaluation, the five houses were positioned as:
