nuances of notes, khar tukdas, Raga jatis, Laya, Avartans,

BASIC ODISSI BODY MOVEMENTS, TERMINOLOGY :
1. Hasta bhed (mudras and hand gestures)
2. Pad a bhed (foot position)
3. Thanakas (body postures)
4. Shiro bhed (head movements)
5. Griva bhed (neck movements)
6. 10 Basic steps in Chauka and tribhangga.
7. Mangalacharan, Vasant pallavi, Battu Nrutya
Besides theory and practical there will be lec-cum-demo,
writing of projects and research papers, field trips. Viewing
of archival performances, dance criticism & guest lectures.

Legal basis of conservation
